Building a consistent multi-channel engagement strategy

Email, webinars, social media, and in-person visits can reinforce each other, or confuse your audience. The key is a consistent message and the right sequence.

01Start from the audience, not the channel

Understand who your audience is, when they have time, and which channels they use. Doctors, for example, keep very different hours from shop owners.

02One core message, many forms

Settle on one main message, then adapt its form to each channel: short in email, in depth in a webinar, and personal in a face-to-face visit.

03Plan the order and spacing

Channels work best in sequence, such as an email invitation, then a webinar, then a follow-up. Leave reasonable gaps so your audience doesn’t feel flooded.

04Connect the data

If every channel keeps its own data, you will never see one person’s full journey. Bring data from all channels into one place.

05Measure and adjust

Compare each channel’s performance regularly, then shift effort to the channels that work best for each audience segment.
